SPAIN As they nervously peer into the future, the young people of Spain worry about the fate of the planet, placing climate change at the forefront of their concerns. In addition, a quarter of them are particularly focused on economic issues, especially inequalities and poverty. Conflict and war come third on their list of concerns. With respect to politics, they display a perceptible fear of extremism, the increase in fascism, and the rise of the far right. What is more, changes to human rights also feature amongst their main concerns, revealing an acute awareness of contemporary social problems.
